Delray Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade 2018
The Delray Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade is back this month. Now in its 50th year, parade coordinators assure that this will be the biggest and the best parade to date.
The pre-parade festival, which will take place March 16th from 5-10 P.M. at Old School Square. The official parade begins at 2 P.M. March 17. The parade will take place on Atlantic Avenue from the Intracoastal Bridge to Northwest/Southwest Fifth Avenue. Entertainment will be provided both days of the St. Patrick's Day celebration including a performance on March 17 bu Fire Brigade, a rock band consisting of Miami Dade County Fire Fighters, performances by Aranmore Academy of Irish Dance and more.
Let's go back to when it all started 50 years ago... The coordinators of the event are going to place the family of Maury Power up front because Maury was a local Irish pub owner who started the tradition of The Delray Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade in 1968 when he took a stroll down Atlantic Avenue with his Shillelagh and a green pig. They actually will have pigs in the parade this year.
All in all this will be a great spectacle, one you will not want to miss. visit Stpatrickmarch.com to learn more.
